Born To Win Or Born In Sin?

"The bible says we where born in sin and far from God, I do not recall ever reading a scripture that says ‘We are born to win’. We are not saved through training, we are saved by grace", commented a recent visitor to this blog.

I appreciate such comments very much, because they cause me to do some more research. This is always a good way to strengthen your faith and to REALLY know what you believe.

What Are Your Words Doing To You?

Do you know that every word that you think and say affects your life and the life of those around you? Does this mean that every single word you speak or think actually affects your life? YES. Your words affect your faith and consequently they affect your present mood and emotional state. Consequently they set the direction for your future.

Your words are powerful! They are seeds. Remember that Jesus one of the Parables that Jesus taught was the Parable of the Sower.

In the interpretation of this parable Jesus likened the seed to the Word. Yes it was the Word of God He was referring to, but we also need to remember:

We are created in His likeness.
God used His Words to create this world.

God uses words to create and He entrusted us with this same power. This is a part of being created in His image.

Are You Mastering Something Every Day?

One of the things that champions do best is they are always conquering something. Every day they are mastering something new. Every day there is something new to conquer. Every time you conquer something, you are taken to a new level of success in life. Recently I saw a quote from @DrMikeMurdock on Twitter:

Confront destructive habits. What you refuse to master today will master you tomorrow

We have been talking a lot about words on this blog. Words that are thought or spoken both have a powerful affect on yours and my life. Words create your mindset. How? You and I respond to words. You hear words, sort them out with that filter that is sitting in your subconscious mind and then make a decision about what you heard. This decision is filed away in your subconscious mind to become a part of that filter for future words. This filter is your mindset (or thought framework).
