Divine Intervention?

I am not sure if you believe in Divine Intervention or not, but there are some things that happen to us in life that I cannot explain any other way. Here’s one of my experiences.

My mother was a motor mechanic during the second world war, During that time all of the working age women had to fill the vacancies in the work force left by the men who had been drafted for the war. The options that my mother had were to work in a hospital which she could not face, or in an auto garage which was more attractive to her. So she became a very good mechanic.

Many years later, during one of the times my parents visited me on this side of the world, we were preparing my car for a trip down to Mexico and found the brakes were not responding as they should.

No problem, we had a mechanic with us. I bought some brake pads and Mum installed them. The trip was very successful and the car responded well.

Several years later, my pastor came over to visit me and once again we were preparing the car for a trip into Mexico. Once again the brakes showed up lacking and when my pastor heard that Mum had fixed them when she was with me, he was not to be outdone and offered to do the same.

He did, and we set off on our 760 mile journey, which included crossing 2 ranges of mountains, all the way down to Cuernavaca, Morelos. A week later, pastor left to go back home and we took him across the mountains into Mexico City to the airport.

A few days after this, the brakes on the car began to fail. Strange I thought, the pads were just recently changed. Immediately we found a trusted team of mechanics (friends of my friends) and left the car with them for the day.

Later in the afternoon we went back to the garage and were greeted by 4 mechanics saying: Wow its a miracle. Why? What happened? And they told us that the pin that was holding the brake pad had not been placed correctly and it had worked itself loose.

Then they asked me how far I had driven and nearly fainted when I told them exactly how many miles I had driven and how many mountains I had crossed with this faulty brake pad installation.

We could have been left without brakes at any given moment while crossing all those mountains!

I am not sure about you, but I only have one explanation for our safety while driving with a brake pad like that.

It had to be Divine Intervention.

How many times have YOU been protected without knowing it? Or perhaps you did know, or found out later as I did.

Please tell us your story below.

Thanks

Yuli.
